Commentary for I Samuel 6:10

וַיַּעֲשׂ֤וּ הָאֲנָשִׁים֙ כֵּ֔ן וַיִּקְח֗וּ שְׁתֵּ֤י פָרוֹת֙ עָל֔וֹת וַיַּאַסְר֖וּם בָּעֲגָלָ֑ה וְאֶת־בְּנֵיהֶ֖ם כָּל֥וּ בַבָּֽיִת׃

And the men did so; and took two milch kine, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home.

Confined in the house. 'כָּלוּ' is an expression of 'כֶּלֶא' [imprisonment].
